Who is Prof. Dr. Hakan Çiçek?

Prof. Dr. Hakan ÇİÇEK was born in 1976 in Kahramanmaraş. He studied medicine at Gaziantep University between 1993-1999. From 2002 to 2006, he completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital. Between 2006-2011, he worked as an orthopedic and traumatology specialist at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. From 2011 to 2017, he served as Chief Assistant at Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital and was also the Clinical Education Supervisor in the same clinic. In 2017, he received the title of Associate Professor. Between 2017-2025, he continued his academic career as a faculty member at the University of Health Sciences Adana City Training and Research Hospital and Adana Faculty of Medicine. In 2025, he was awarded the title of Professor. Sports injuries, knee (ligament - cartilage problems), shoulder arthroscopy, and joint arthroplasty (prosthetic surgery) are his main areas of interest and practice. He has received training in these fields at many national and international centers and has also provided training in these areas. He has numerous published articles and book chapters in national and international journals. In addition, he has participated as an invited speaker at many national meetings and has organized various workshops and conferences. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (TOTBID), Turkish Society of Sports Injuries and Arthroscopy (TUSYAD), and Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association (KADAD). He has served two terms on the TUSYAD Anterior Cruciate Ligament Board and one term on the TUSYAD Patellofemoral Board.
